Statistical data

Liechtenstein lacks statistical data on people with disabilities and issues affecting people with disabilities. Without reliable data, the actual needs of people with disabilities cannot be identified and effective measures cannot be planned. The UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities obliges states parties to collect data in order to measure progress and reduce discrimination. The data must be collected, published and made accessible without barriers and be internationally comparable. The aim is to find a way to collect aggregated data while ensuring the protection of individuals. Finally, reliable reporting under the Convention is not possible without a data basis.

Liechtenstein must:

Quickly tackle the collection and publication of internationally comparable data and make it accessible to all.
