The Council of Europe's Group of States against Corruption (Groupe d'États contre la Corruption, GRECO for short) published its fifth evaluation round report on Liechtenstein on May 27, 2025.

The focus of this evaluation round was on preventing corruption and promoting integrity in central governments (persons in high executive offices) and law enforcement agencies. In Liechtenstein, this concerns members of the Government, Secretaries General, personal staff, the Prince and Hereditary Prince and members of the National Police. GRECO 2024 visited Liechtenstein to prepare the report and also visited the VMR in April 2024.

In addition to many positive comments about Liechtenstein, GRECO also sees room for improvement. The report makes a total of 20 recommendations and proposes follow-up measures, 13 for senior executive offices and seven for law enforcement authorities.
