As every year, the VMR is organizing an event to mark Human Rights Day. This year, the focus is on freedom of expression and the right to information.

We invite everyone to the

Wednesday, December 10, 2025 at 7 p.m.,
Small hall of the SAL in Schaan,

to celebrate Human Rights Day with us.

This year's theme:

Freedom of expression and the right to information are elementary components of a democracy. However, the exercise of freedom of expression and information is also associated with duties and responsibilities. On Human Rights Day, we discussed what these rights mean in today's society, what their limits are and how they can be strengthened.

With us are:

  • Ingrid Brodnig, Austrian journalist and author
  • Doris Quaderer, Stiftung Lebenswertes Liechtenstein and media expert
  • Patrik Schädler, former editor-in-chief of Liechtensteiner Vaterland
  • Patricia Schiess, Liechtenstein Institute, lawyer.
  • Andreas Krättli, moderator, Podcasthus.li

We would also like to draw your attention to the video podcast series on the topic planned with Podcasthus.li, which will be available on the YouTube channels of Podcashus.li and the VMR from November 2025.
