Call for proposals MOBE expert committee
The Association for Human Rights (VMR) is Liechtenstein's independent national human rights institution in accordance with UN principles. On the basis of a national law, it is responsible for the protection and promotion of human rights in Liechtenstein. Since Liechtenstein's accession to the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (UN CRPD) in 2024, the HRPM has been the independent monitoring body for the Convention. To carry out this task, an interdisciplinary expert committee has been set up to advise and support the VMR office in this role.
Your task
- You will take part in the three annual meetings of the Technical Committee.
- Together with the other members of the expert committee, you will analyze the legal situation and the practical implementation of the UN CRPD in Liechtenstein.
- You will support the VMR office in advising authorities, ministries and civil society on the implementation of the UN CRPD.
- You will contribute your expertise to statements, reports or recommendations of the VMR office.
- Total scope of activity: approx. 10 working days per year

Your profile
- You have a legal education with a focus on international law/human rights and expertise in the field of disability rights/UN CRPD.
- You have several years of practical experience.
- You have a very good command of German and English.
- You have no official or political functions in Liechtenstein.
- Knowledge of the Liechtenstein legal system and political structures is an advantage.
